Every creation begins with a dream. It begins with hope, curiosity and a vision. That dream is achieved through hunger, determination, resilience and passion. It is achieved through the belief that your dream is possible.
At nine years old I began riding horses competitively. Since my first lesson, I dedicated my life to the sport of show jumping with the dream of representing my country at an international level. 10 years later, that dream came true. Achieving that dream meant sacrifice. It taught me to be resilient when I failed. It taught me how to win with grace and lose with grace. It taught me to be accountable when I made a mistake. It taught me to listen to something that cannot speak. After competing at a professional level, I knew I needed to make the choice between committing to horses forever or take a deep breath and dive into something new.
Last year, I decided to take a hiatus from the sport and focus on school, developing a career, and experiencing new adventures. Life gives back what you put into it, and I seek to take advantage of life for all that it is worth. The past year has been filled with sky diving, backpacking trips through the desert, a marathon, Ironman training, and newfound passions.
Studying at the University of Oregon's School of Journalism has guided me towards my passion for photography, videography, strategy and advertising. Everyone has a story to tell, and I love bringing that story to life. Life is not only about being all you can be as an individual, but it is about inspiring those around you to do so as well. Passion is contagious. Share it.
